Kayaking Excursion on the Saint-Charles River

Now officially certified as a Blue Route, the Saint-Charles River invites visitors to enjoy a kayaking getaway just steps from downtown. Découverte Nature Kayak offers river descents with full equipment, shuttle service and safe supervision. Two options are available:

Self-guided supervised descent – 4 km

Perfect for visitors who want to paddle at their own pace. 4 km route (approximately 2 hours); the last departure is from Promenade Notre-Dame-du-Sourire. The experience includes on-site welcome and instructions, full equipment, and a return shuttle. Portaging at Masson Bridge and passing under Masson Bridge are prohibited.

  • Available every Saturday and Sunday from July 4 to September 7, as well as on Fridays, July 24 and 31. Departures between 10:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m.

Guided descent – 8 km

For a more immersive outing, the 8 km guided descent is led by guides and includes full equipment, shuttle service, as well as a light lunch with beverages.

  • Available on June 28; July 19, 24 and 31; August 23; and September 6, from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.

IMPORTANT NOTE

If you would like to explore the Saint-Charles River without a guide, whether by kayak or paddleboard, the last departure is from Promenade Notre-Dame-du-Sourire. Portaging at Masson Bridge and passing under Masson Bridge are prohibited.

Price

Price: $60, including taxes, equipment, snacks, and shuttle to the starting point. You can bring your lunch, which will be transported to the rest area. The activity takes place even if the weather forecast predicts rain. However, Découverte Nature Kayak Beauharnois Salaberry will cancel the outing in the event of thunderstorms or other weather-related reasons.
