Circuit of wrecks and several anchors to discover !

THE CHARBONNIER WRECK

At the bottom of Salaberry-de-Valleyfield’s Saint-François Bay lies the wreck of the Charbonnier, a barge that was used to transport coal to the city’s cotton mill. The bow and coal bunker have become home to a wide variety of marine life. This site is also popular for ice diving in winter as the current is weak, and it is easily accessible. Several other wrecks lie nearby.
