2023 EDITION !

To celebrate the 84rd anniversary of the Régates de Valleyfield, the organizing committee is proud to announce a new cultural event for the summer of 2023. The event presented by the City of Salaberry-de-Valleyfield will take place from July 14 to 16 at the Delpha-Sauvé Park.

In addition to being the most anticipated event for hydroplane pilots, the Régates de Valleyfield is a cultural event for festivalgoers. This is why the organizing committee wanted to maintain some elements of the artistic component in its new cultural event.

A piece of history!

For more than 84 years, every mid-July, Salaberry-de-Valleyfield undergoes a complete transformation to welcome the 130,000 visitors who flock to the city to take part in the festivities accompanying the Valleyfield Regattas. The spectacular hydroplane races take place on the waters of Saint-François Bay, in the heart of downtown.

Spectators are treated to three days of unique, adrenaline-packed racing action as well as five exciting evening shows featuring well-known artists !

Just what is a hydroplane? Essentially, it’s an airplane without wings. Add to that definition a top speed of up to 225 km/h and skids, and you’ve got the making of high-octane thrills. The only event of its kind in North America, the legendary Valleyfield Regattas deliver breathtaking, spectacular displays on the water for thousands of enraptured spectators!
